DescriptionTriangular hat box with flat top with canted corners and molded edge which projects slightly at front and along two sides; applied molding around perimeter of underside of top on front two sides; pair of incised parallel lines outline top near outside edge; lid hinged at rear to case with decorative brass hinges; box has straight sides with canted corners, each corner carved with three deep grooves or flutes, brass nob at top of front flutes releases iron latch inside lid; molded edge applied at base on all sides.
