DescriptionDesk. Flat top dovetailed into sides; fall front, with central brass oval escutcheon, rests, when down, on two slides with molded fronts and central brass knobs; interior of top composed of two pigeonholes and a drawer on each side flanking a central door, behind which is a pigeon hole and a small drawer; lower section of front composed of four graduated drawers with moulded edges, each with a central keyhole and a pair of modern brass bail pulls; desk rests on four, straight bracket feet.ProvenanceFound in Louisburg, Franklin County, North Carolina.
