DescriptionBusk hand carved fruitwood; It has extensive carving in checkerboard and floral designs on the front, as well as two sets of initials, EH and WP, and the date 1789. There is a lengthy verse on the back: "A heart I have and it is True, Which I have kept only for you/ If yours be there and be not gon Let us join them both in one/ And let that other man a lone for in short time I shall be gon/ the ring is round and ase no end so is my love unto & my friend.
