DescriptionSalt Cellar: Depressed hemispherical receptacle or well for salt with multiple moudlings around opening; faceted globular body of octagonal plan with mid-band resting on a high moulded base of cyma-reverse profile.Label TextThis is a splendid example of an early bulbous trencher salt. It is more substantial and, with its octagonal paneling, more articulated than most examples.
