Glens and Sanders of British and (more recently) Dutch ancestry, were early settlers into this area of New York. Their children intermarried with Dutch settlers; some of furniture stamped with initials of Van Rensselaer and Elmendorf families. Stronghold of family remained in Scotia, contents of Glen-Sanders homestead sold to CW in 1964. Documents contain no specific references to this chair.
