DescriptionSide chair with an elaborate pierced and carved crest rail supported by turned stiles and flat stretchers for the camel back. The seat is upholstered with leather, but was originally caned (seat rails replaced). Arched and carved front stretcher, rectangular side and rear stretchers. The back legs are square in section. Later black and red (rosewood) grain painted surface.1695-1715
