DescriptionWhite figure of a bird with his head turned to the left.Raised anchor period.Label TextA thick, bluish white glaze covers these small birds with parrot-like beaks. They are slightly oriental in feeling and may have been inspired by one of the many Chinese porcelain parrots of that day. Although the Chelsea factory produced many birds during the raised and red anchor periods, most were larger than these and were not left in the white.Inscription(s)NoneMark(s)Anchor relief on medallion applied on base beneath tailProvenanceEx coll: M.G.
