DescriptionOctagonal, handless teacup with brown line around edge is painted in overglaze enamels with "fable decoration" with a scene of "The Wolf and the Fox in the Well." The wolf, with front paws on the wall of the well, is looking in at the fox whose head and shoulders can be seen in cut-away section of the well. Green, red, and brown trees, a yellow and orange house, a blue lake, and red and orange rocks in the foreground. The interior is painted with four green and red flower heads and a leaf hiding glaze imperfections.
