DescriptionBarometer. Siphon wheel (mercurial) in wall case of ebonized pearwood with gilt metal mounts. Signed on dial plate: "Geo. Graham/London," circa 1720. The main dial registers barometric pressure in inches and has another hand that can be set to show the last reading taken.

George Graham was one of the foremost English clockmakers of the first half of the 18th century. He was partner with and suceeded to Thomas Tompion in his business.
