DescriptionCream Pot. Gilt-lined body of helmet form and of shaped oval plan with applied molding at rim and alternate plain sections and ones chased with vertical fluting; plain body sections engraved below rim with border of running foliate design; triangular pouring lip with engraved border on face below applied molding at edge let in at rim opposite high-arched loop handle of D-section with ribbed face soldered at rim and to lower part of body; body supported on pedestal foot flaring to large base of shaped oval plan with engraved border and sectioning. Crest of Piggot family engraved on face of base.Label TextFrom about 1775, most cream pots or jugs in the Adam taste are of this tall helmet form with a high arched loop handle.
