DescriptionHigh post bed: 4 tall posts, deeply fluted on all surfaces except for inner edges at base; posts are turned above rails and "square" in section below; scrolled headboard, cut out at sides; "square" sectioned rails with central channel carved on outer edges; evenly spaced rope holes; headboard stained red; traces of green paint on posts.

Woods: The four posts and the side rails are maple, the head and foot rails are oak, the headboard is tulip and is slightly warped.Mark(s)Roman numberals on bed parts
