DescriptionRectangular double side tortoiseshell comb with set of narrow, closely spaced teeth on one side and widely spaced, longer teeth on the other side; the wide ends and mid-section are engraved on both sides with a continuous scrolled vine and flower motif; a white pigment has been rubbed into the engraved lines to make the design stand out; comb fits into a silk lined tortoiseshell case.
