New Bond Street"Label TextA village barber holding a lancet in one hand, a razor in the other, and carrying a shaving dish under one arm is seen on a street in front of his shop. On the shop is the sign of a wig and the legend:--"Barn: Factotum Dresses Shaves Bleeds &c & &c. In Utrumpque Paratus." On a board is another sign: --"Bob Bob Majors Scratches & other Wigs made here, also Sausages, Washballs Black Puddings Scotch Pills, Powder for the Itch Red Earrings, Breeches Balls & small Beer by the maker". In the distance can be seen the village stocks.ProvenanceBefore 1957, the Old Print Shop (New York, NY); 1957-present, purchased by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (Williamsburg, VA).
