DescriptionAppearance: Daybed with yoked serpentine cresting rail mortised into shaped stiles which are rectangular in section and scrolled at top; solid, slightly shaped vertical splat; long rectangular bed frame composed of four rails, "square" in section, tenoned into legs and stiles at foot and head; frame supported on three pairs of cabriole legs with shaped knee brackets terminating in high pad feet; pair of rear legs (contiguous with stiles) essentially "square" in section and chamfered above block feet which flare back; legs braced by four turned and blocked crosswise stretchers into which are mortised three turned longitudinal stretchers; covered with heavy brown stain.

Woods: Maple throughout except for repairs of white pine (top corner blocks and head rail brace).
