DescriptionTilt-top tea table: circular tip-top with 3 boards, supported underneath by a H stretcher which is attached to a bird cage and held in place by a wooden turn latch. Bird cage is supported on each of four corners by a turned spindle pegged through the squares and in turn is attached to a baluster shaft pegged through bottom board of birdcage and locked with a wooden pin. The shaft, baluster shape with elongated cylindrical swollen section, is supported by 3 flat scrolled legs.ca. 1760
