DescriptionWoman's full cloak constructed from plain-woven worsted wool in green, red, and yellow tartan-like plaid. Cloak is made of six 19-inch widths of material stitched together and pleated to a yoke. A matching shoulder cape 16 inches deep is stitched to the neckline, where the edges are bound with replaced tape. Cloak fastens at the front with an elaborate hook and eye stitched to the yoke, possibly a later addition. Additional fastening by ties at the neckline. Cloak body has an opening for the hands at each side. Lined with blue linen, partially replaced.Construction History:
1. 1830-1840: Initial Construction
2. January 1958: Cleaning, checking, restoring by Ernest LoNano. Took out lining, yoke used for restoring and replaced with new linen.
