DescriptionOne of a table plane pair, with a molded shoulder, and flat chamfers that terminate with a line and turn-out.Label TextBorn in Providence, Rhode Island, Abraham Fisk had relocated to northern New York with his family while still young. As a teenager, he found himself in the militia, fighting as part of Capt. Hadlock's Company of Col. Peter Yates' Regiment.To date, no documentation shedding light on what woodworking trade or trades Abraham Fisk was engaged in has been located.Mark(s)ABRAHAM*FISK• in relief within rectangle, is struck into the toe (Elliott, GAWP 5th ed., p.131, imprint B). A later owner's name S.DILLINGHAM, in incuse, is struck above Fisk's mark.
