DescriptionCandlestick: cylindrical socket molded at top and base; stem in form of 6-petaled tubular flower above a molded knop; low-domed, terraced base hexagonally scalloped with the lobes fluted to suggest shells or flower petals. Bobeche with flange hexagonally scalloped and fluted in same pattern as base.Label TextJohn Cafe and to a lesser extent his brother and former apprentice, William were prolific makers of candlesticks during the middle decades of the eighteenth century.
