DescriptionIncised molding on face of inverted rim of baluster-shaped body curved inward above cast circular splayed base; two-part cast S-scroll handle soldered below rim and to lower part of body with voluted acanthus leaf grip with pendent drop, ribbed sides of face, and bud terminal. Engraved coat of arms and crest on face of body opposite handle. Arms of the dexter half of the coat are those Montgomery quartering Eglinton. The impalement of the sinister half of the shield displays the arms of Percy. The marriage between these families is unrecorded.
