DescriptionThis is an unfinished, rectangular sampler worked in shades of brown, blue, green, and pink silk embroidery threads on a natural-color linen ground. The top half of the sampler consists of one uppercase script alphabet, three sets of uppercase block alphabets, two sets of lowercase block alphabets, and the initials "S P K". The bottom half of the sampler is unworked except for a flower pot in the right. Below the flower pot are the initials "A M M". A tiny pink and green floral border worked in queen stitches encloses the sampler on all four sides. There is a 1/4 to 3/8" hem on all four sides.
