DescriptionStorage jar or churn: elongated ovoid body rises to short neck with slightly outturned mouth; two squared lug handles applied at the high shoulder, one on each side of the neck, just below the rim; covered allover with a rich alkaline glaze. Evidence of hand and fingerprints at the interior of the mouth and at the foot where the potter grabbed the piece, and the glaze did not adhere.
