DescriptionTumbler: beaker of slightly flared cylindrical shape cut with narrow flutes at the base extending halfway up the body; engraved with masonic symbols opposite the cypher "GM" in feathered script.Label TextAmerican newspapers record the availability of glassware including beakers and rummers engraved with Masonic symbols to consumers in the 18th and early 19th centuries. Lodge proceedings also record special orders of masonic engraved glasses for use by specific Lodges, even listing bespoke orders purchased from factors in England.
