DescriptionPewter cream pot with a pear-shaped body topped by a scalloped rim and an everted pouring lip, standing on three short cabriole legs with trifid feet. Broken scroll handle with a scrolled lower terminal.Label TextPear shaped cream pots with three feet and a scrolled handle had been popular since the 1720s. Examples of this exact form have been tentatively attributed to Cornelius Bradford, a pewterer working in Philadelphia and New York City during the third quarter of the 18th century. A rare survival of an American cream pot of this era, it is unmarked.
