DescriptionUnmade waistcoat of black silk with selvages, woven with a floral motif of pink, cream, and yellow, as well as a cream lace motif. Includes panels to construct a waistcoat with a straight waist; center front, two pockets, sixteen buttons, and a long piece of cream trim, possibly for a collar. Cream lace trim is woven into the material and decorates the center front and bottom. Includes two selvage edges and two unfinished. The detail is woven into the back.1785-1790s
