DescriptionBanded silver beaker: Seamed, straight-sided cylindrical beaker with inset circular base and applied, drawn bands at base and rim. Body of beaker with two sets of six engraved lines, each set to give the appearance of five applied bands encircling upper and lower bodyLabel TextCharles Alexander Burnett trained as a silversmith in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and worked briefly in Alexandria before permanently re-locating to Georgetown, District of Columbia. He was one of the most prolific silversmiths in the new national capital, producing and retailing a wide range of forms.
