DescriptionBagpipes (musette de cour). Musical instrument composed of bellows, bag, chanter and drones. Trapezoidal bellows, edged with metallic tape, have brass brackets and a belt with silver buckle; leather covered ribs and gussets. The bellows are attached to tear-shaped leather bag covered with silk floral and lace striped textile, trimmed with 1 3/4" green silk textile, gathered and hemmed. Turned ivory chanter with 7 finger holes and two double holes, without reed. Cylindrical ivory drones (shuttle drones) project from an ivory orifice in the center of the bag.
