DescriptionA) Plain cylindrical pole topped with acorn finial; bobbin and ring-turned pedestal with three projecting cabriole legs with clothed knees terminating in snake feet on pads; rectangular frame scrolled and veneered top.

B) Needlework panel obverse: Basket of flowers (tulips, bluebells, carnations, roses, etc.,) on grassy mound worked in tent stitch (needlepoint) in multi-colored crewels (reds, blues, greens, golds), and white silk on natural linen canvas. Original to frame.

Reverse side of panel: Chinese wallpaper painted in a design of colorful birds among flowering branches, and duck on pond by rocky cliff.

Woods: mahogany pole; mahogany frame with deal inner frame
