DescriptionTimber scribe composed of a wood stock mounted with a filed iron and steel head equipped with a fixed pivoting point and scoop-shaped blade, along with another which swings out from the side.Label TextAlso called a “race knife,” these tools were used for marking many wooden things ranging from beams to barrels. By planting the point and swinging the scoop-shaped blade around, this tool cuts perfect circles into wood. Another similar blade swings out from the side for cutting lines.
