A 1734 letter John Custis wrote to Robert Cary proves how important he thought this page was to having a complete set of catalog prints. “I am very much pleased with ye flower pieces you sent me,” Custis said, “by ye man has not done me justice in not sending the thirteenth print with ye subscribers names which I find he has sent to other Gentlemen, Coll.
