DescriptionWalnut full-stocked pistol with an engraved brass barrel and lockplate. Rounded, lock made with a steel safety behind the cock. A carved shell behind the barrel tang connects aprons surrounding the rear of the lock mortice and the sideplate flat. Silver mounts include a long-spurred buttcap embellished with a grotesque masque, a rococo wristplate and triggerguard, a panoply of arms sideplate, and two rammer pipes. Ebony or blackened wood rammer with a brass cap at one end and a worm at the other.Label TextMade with brass lockplates and barrels instead of iron or steel, this snazzy set of English officer’s pistols is of better quality than most. Their silver mounts include long-spurred buttcaps, emblazoned with a grotesque masque, and panoply of arms sideplates incorporating drums, flags and armour.
