DescriptionChild's or woman's embroidered and quilted cap worked in white-on-white cottons through a backing of linen. The all-over patterning on the cap includes the motifs of thin floral branches and leaves, with a small heart in the center back, worked with shallow stuffed work quilting. The remainder of the foundation is covered with plain flat embroidered fill stitches. There is a casing at the neck edge for a drawstring tie.
